We were in search of the lions for a couple of days and when we found them, we were in awe!Īmazing Life Experience - Would go back in a heartbeat. We had so much fun, saw all the animals up close, except for a leopard. After 2 drives we asked if we could switch guides, we were so glad we did. The game drives…ours started off very tame. It’s a good 45 minute drive to a supermarket in Mossel bay, so make sure you stock up with any supplies before you arrive. However we were not hungry after our plentiful lunch. It’s tea, coffee and tiny pieces of 1 cake and one snack (canapé style). It’s was still warm and the ice cream hadn’t melted. We both had an evening meal and lunch delivered to our villa. We woke to wilder beasts grazing on our doorstep. Views were amazing, very clean and everything we needed. The villa was ‘WOW!’ Huge, with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. We were a family of 4, staying in a bush villa. All of which are critical in sustaining its biodiversity. The Gondwana Conservation Foundation (GCF) has been established as a non-profit organization to contribute to the conservation of South Africa’s threatened and endangered wildlife and vegetation relevant to the Southern Cape through active management, training and skills development of the local people.
